first I want to congratulate you all for an excelente job.

My problem its that i want to translate LedgerSMB to Spanish Venezuela, I know that already it is, but here stell some words that there not, So i trying to do it in the same way just like "sqledger": perl locales.pl, but nothing hapen :S

[Chris Travers: All translation files are now in gettext's .po format. These can be found in locale/[country code]/
The files need no compiling. Just add the string and its translation and submit your changes to the -devel list.]

I think you mean LedgerSMB.pot
a sort of repository of all the msgid existing in the software
the LedgerSMB.pot is reasonably recent in terms of msgid's
for example : the msgid "deposit" doesn't exist in LedgerSMB.pot
I think it exist nowhere
but surprisingly, ledgersmb is ready to use this msgid
I believed that each time a msgid is created it is added in a po file
dubphil, we generate the LedgerSMB.pot from the code, so it's possible we missed some files or something
there are msgid in ledgerSMB.pot that ere not in fr.po but there are also msgid in fr.po that are not in LedgerSMB.pot

and in which file does it put them ?

so if it is missing some, I may be using xgettext incorrectly
or the msgid can simply not exists anymore
um....
xgettext pulls strings from text() calls
in the source
so it is possible that it doesn;t exist but that's not consistent with the earlier question about an msgid missing there but the software being able to translate the string anyway
I never see that, what I see is some msgid present in fr.po but not in ledgerSMB.pot
dubphil, it is possible it doesn't exist anymore.
